Lies, Lies, Lies!

My parents told me that I could be anything I wanted. All I had to do was work hard and I could accomplish anything. I believed them, as any naive child would, and I worked. I tried. I struggled to accomplish my life's goal. I wanted nothing more than to be 6' tall. Here I am, 30 years later, and I'm 5'9". Don't ever trust your parents.

I trust my parents.... To say all kinds of stuff that I will just ignore. Honestly I want to teach my daughter to respect me and listen to me, but in the end use common sense rather than just do what I say.

Expect to hear from mom. I told on you. And you thought I'd grown up. Ha!

My mother told me "learn to type, because you'll always have a job." And she was right. She forgot to mention that I'll also always have a blog.
