Few things are more embarrassing
Than having the answer your professor is looking for on your brief, and having reminded yourself OF that point before class, and then forgetting it when asked.

I thought briefing was simply a ploy to weed out 1L's...
After your first year (or semester, as the case may be), your briefs become somewhat different than what you do in your first classes.
You end up doing more "boook briefs" and just kind of highlighting the issue and the rule.
