This blog is a collection of what goes through the mind of a father, a husband, a son, a friend, a lawyer (not your lawyer), and a storyteller, all competing for attention in my head.

Random Trivia
A pound of feathers weighs more than a pound of gold. Really

What? 'splain, please.
Feathers are weighed under the Avoir DuPois method of weighing. This is the standard that we are familiar with, where 16 ounces go to a pound.
Gold is measured under the Troy method, which is used for precious metals, and equates 12 ounces to a pound.
Therefore, one pound of feathers (16 oz.) weighs more than one pound of gold (12 oz.).
