Some Evening

We had fun this evening. The Bulgoki turned out good, even the shrimp bulgoki was good - a new twist I added for my pescatarian friend. He seemed to enjoy it.

We played Pinochle again - more fun, and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves, as well. All things considered, it was a nice day.

If only I had more friends who liked to come over for bulgoki...

Jerk!

Oh wait. :)

Yes the shrimp Bulgoki was rad. The losing at Pinochle sucked.

You know my number if you really want to give a good-faith notice.

I ate beef kabobs, chicken tikka and all sorts of other delicious food at a friend's engagement party last night, so I didn't miss eating your shrimp bulgolki.

I understand that you're scared of making bulgolki for someone who has actually eaten real bulgolki before. I promise that I won't be mean or critical. Worst case scenario: I'll slip it to the cats while asking for seconds.

Well, I had bulgogi and sushi at Korea House yesterday. So there! Thanks for not inviting me. Hrmph!

I don't know what else to say. I have invited Jamie over for Bulgoki 3 times now and she has turned me down each time. There's only so much I can do.

You consider an invitation to be a three-hour notice that is posted on your blog (even though you have my email and phone #)?

I guess that's why you also think you knew where you were headed in New Orleans.

Well, I figured three hours was all it took you to find a restaurant a block away, so that should be plenty of time to come on over for dinner.

And when the post says "Everyone is invited" then I do consider it an invitation.

I'm with Jamie. I check blogs every three days or so, rather than every three hours. However, I do get e-mails on my cell phone, which, coincidentally, also receives calls and text messages.

Notwithstanding, we were celebrating Thanksgiving with my family in Sugarland on Saturday afernoon before I headed into the office.

In fairness, I haven't offered to cook for you and the family either. Tofu, anyone?
