Worst Pick Ever

When Fox News points out just how bad a pick Sarah Palin was, she must have been bad. Didn't know who was in NAFTA, didn't know Africa was a continent, refused coaching before the Katie Couric interview...

You can watch the video at the Liberal Journal, here.

My good friend from North Carolina, Just Wondering weighs in, as well.

Andrew Sullivan is on this, as well.

Just think, if 4 million people vote differently, we don't learn about this.

UPDATE!!!!!
The above mentioned report has been reported to be a hoax.

I saw this on Huffington Post also. Man, dodging a bullet is right.

I find it interesting that so many who doubted the credibility of FOX News (when it reported on Reverend Wright's racist black liberation theology, anti-American sermons and Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers) are now taking a rumor reported by FOX as gospel.

You're right. This is just a report. However, unlike Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers and Sarah Palin's reverend and John McCain's connections with the Keating Five and both McCain and Obama's connections with Rahid Khalidi, there has been nothing from the subject to indicate that this is untrue - no rebuttal. There's been no press conference, and the interviews given have shown a lack of understanding of civics and the international condition.

A good part of this is post-mortem finger pointing, as both McCain and Palin's camps are pointing fingers at each other, but this offers further support that the pick of Palin was a poor one.

Sarah Palin needs to have a press conference to clear all this up.

Fox News isn't the only source regarding Palin's lack of knowledge about national and international affairs. In fact, mine own eyes and ears confirm said lack. The specifics of the Africa story come from Fox, yes. However, I've seen nothing in the way in which she has comported herself to make me doubt the veracity of the report.

And, Steve, why in the world would the woman start giving press conferences now? She should have been ready, willing and able to give them all along. That too has contributed to the speculation, wild or not, about the lack of depth of her policy acumen.

My primary goal has not been to mock Palin, though it has certainly come across that way at times, I know. My disdain, while seeming to have Palin as its object, is really aimed at the McCain campaign. My harsh tone stems from the fact that I felt McCain's naming of her was a terrible insult, and identity politics at its worst, for many, many reasons which I won't recount here.

Having said all that, I think McCain's people are treating her terribly, considering it was their bright idea to shove her into the spotlight. The more they point out her supposed deficiencies, the more ridiculous they make themselves look for having chosen her in the first place.
