Movies

I want to see Frost/Nixon. And The Reader. And Doubt. And Defiance.

But instead, I'll likely go see Inkheart.

We saw "Defiance" this past week and I recommend it. Don't wait for the DVD if you don't have to do so.

I too have a long list of movies I want to see (I would add "Duplicity" to all of the ones you've listed - I like Clive Owen and will tolerate Julia Roberts to see him). I think I would also like to see "Taken," but I could probably wait for it to come out on DVD. It's unusual for me to be interested in this many movies at once.

Change we can believe in? haha.

How about Devereaux?

Did you mean Tale of Despereaux? The young'uns have already seen it. I took them to see Inkheart, and they rather enjoyed it. There were some good interchanges in dialogue that kept me entertained, and all things considered, thought it was a pretty good movie, though I don't think I would pay to see it again in the theatre.

Into Great Silence is the best movie I've seen in a long time. Deb fell asleep.

Interesting concept, but I don't know if I'd be able to sit through the whole thing (though it does interest me).

Are y'all coming over for the Super Bowl?

Frost/Nixon is long and tedious and offers little in the way of character development. It trudges along and all the while the main characters (for which the movie was named) remain strangers to the viewer. I thought that was odd, until I remembered the director is Ron Howard and thats kind of how he rolls.

Defiance was good. I think "In Bruges" was the Best Picture of the year.
